Mamacita Pizzeria in Abiquiu

Stopped by not knowi what to expect. The owner was very friendly. The pizza was probably the best I've ever had! Crust is perfect! I can't wait to go back! Thank u Mamacita!

Best pizza I have ever had in NM. The owner explained her process. You could taste the love in her food. There is a lot of heart and souls in this place. Driving 200 miles to have the best pizza ever was worth it.

I stopped at this place on a cross country charity walk. I can't remember the owners name but she treated me to one of the best burgers and pizza I've ever had and let me charge my phone and gave me information about the area. It's not a very big or fancy place but the food and the owner make the place a five star.

Thin crust pizza made to order. Jalapeno and green chili toppings available. Roadrunner, with pepperoni, Italian sausage and green chili hits the spot.

Incredible AWARD WINNING pizza experience. Sauce is homemade with 11 ingredients & pizza dough is imported from Rochester, New York... WOW!!! We ordered the Veggie Supreme pizza, 12 slices & was the best pizza we’ve ever had. Outdoor seating & dog friendly. Marta, the owner was extremely kind and welcoming, and offered us some local suggestions for sightseeing and camping for our weekend in Abiquiu. Amazing.

The rave about Mamacita’s pizza on fb had my guy and I make a 2.5ish hour drive was worth the trip!! Veggie pizza and 12 chicken wings, was so righteous and delicioso👌🏼Not only was the food grandspectacular Mamacita was so pleasant. She made our trip worthwhile. I can’t wait for spring time for her special pesto chicken pizza!

Great pizza in the middle of nowhere.

This is the best pizza I have had in a long time. If you're on US-84 in NM you have to stop in Abiquiu at Mamacita's for pizza. It is to die for. She is open and waiting for you. The ingredients are all fresh and prepared by hand. Guy Fieri should get here ASAP. To my Hawaii friends this is a "brok da mout" treat.

Sit outside have a great pizza. Regular choices. Big pizzas. Reasonable prices.

The pizza is not too bad, the service and “rules” are not very welcoming. Customer beware of the outdoor only eating area with strict rules pertaining to outside drinks and dogs...apparently stray cats are treated very well with food and water in the outdoor eating area..

Well first of all lady don't pick an argument with the client, even when the client is wrong. An second I didn't give you a 1-star rating because of you telling me to wear a mask in a open/outside area (with no-one around) but because of your unwelcoming attitude since we got there. And lastly, the pizza crust was a bit tough and chewy.

This is the best pizza in the entire state of New Mexico. There is no contest. I often drive here from Albuquerque just for this pizza - even in the winter time. This is the kind of place, though, where the owner knows what's she's doing and you don't get to make substitutions without getting attitude. But don't worry, everything is delicious just as she has already planned it. You won't regret getting any of her pizzas; however, if you end up getting the small pizza, you might regret not getting the next size up because you'll be so disappointed that you've eaten everything already. I tell everyone that this is the best pizza in NM and loads of people come back to me and tell me they agree. Trust us. ;)

Great food wish it had a better sitting situation but other then that its great!!!

Another one of northern Mew Mexico’s small gems that you will miss if you blink your eyes, but definitely worth finding. Excellent all natural ingredient pizzas, as well as really great Black Angus Burgers and various sandwiches. Have to disagree with another review about the staff being unfriendly. Whenever I’ve been there, even though the owner was rushed with orders, she dropped everything to see what I wanted to order and chatted with me a bit, before returning to her work. A very pleasant experience!

Pizza Soo good 👌😋 even after a couple days old.

Not just food, but an experience. Mamacita's has faired exceptionally well in a variety of pizza contests, and understandably so. However, the only seating is at covered picnic tables outside - which was fine for us, it was a nice spring day. But you may plan on takeout for the extreme temperatures gound in the dead of winter or summer in Abiquiui, New Mexico.The owner / operator is a real charmer, so also plan to soak in a dose of hard-nosed hospitality. Make sure you read the signs outlining the rules for acceptable behavior - quite comical in their own right.

Loved this place!! Pizza was incredible. Quality ingredients and not overly salted or processed. Owner is very kind and she runs a tight ship! So glad we stopped at this unique gem!

Went on a little day trip to try it out. Was really good pizza! The owner is kinda kooky but very nice if you are nice to her. We'll be back for sure!

We are here yesterday for lunch on our way to CO. Stopped because of the great reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Owner was super friendly and helpful. The pizza was awesome as well as the chicken nuggets and fries. Definitely would recommend this place and the food!

What a pleasant surprise Mamacitas Pizza was for such a place in the middle of nowhere! I thought I was in New York City eating a New York style pizza. The crust was amazing and each pizza was made to our specifications. We will return soon. Kim and Chas

Awesome! A lil place with awesome food! We had a green chile cheese burger and a personal pan pizza. Omg! Way beyond my expectations! We will be back and highly recommend. Our puppy was happy as well. She got dog biscuits and a warm hello. This place is pet friendly but be kind and leash up. She has dog food and water for your fur baby as well. How many places are so welcoming to your fur babies!🐶
